Ron Ely was the next actor to be chosen to portray 1966's updated version of Edgar Rice Burrough's Lord of the Jungle, Tarzan. Colorforms landed the license and graced the cover of their new game (#410) with one of the most outstanding box arts they ever produced. The dynamic cover painting captures Tarzan in mid-swing (gouache on board - image area is 10-3/4" x 17"). This set portfolio is also outstanding for its inclusion of a photo storyboard and separate script for the firm's TV ad for the set, an item rarely found surviving in their files. Also included are the following production pieces: original vinyl art (ink) and original bklt. art (done in a laminated collage, mounted directly to a booklet); large duo-tone mech. of the cover art; full cover mech. with a tis. ov.; retail flyer mech.; 8" x 10" black and white photo for use in print ads; and an EX/MT sample game (missing one of the vinyl groups and the platform).
