The Walt Disney animated classic, Pinocchio, was a perfect subject for Colorforms. With its multitude of recognizable colorful characters, the film was used as a basis for several different games. They were advertised as a group by Colorforms. This collection contains four original art pieces for the advertising of the Pinocchio games. First, we present a large 22" x 18" pencil/pastel rough color concept drawing for the body of the ads (with the black and white separate crayon rough). Also included is the fabulous original 18" x 14" watercolor painting done from the rough study of Pinocchio and Jimminy. There were also banner/trolly sign types of ads for this series. Also included is a 24" x 8" ad for Colorforms Pinocchio Toys and Games rendered in black and white gouache, with a hand-colored tissue overlay and a 24" x 8" rough concept drawing for the banner. Finally, there is the hand-drawn lettering for the games on a separate sheet. Unique, original Colorforms advertising art for a major character.
