The large number of great recognizable characters in the Disney animated version of Pinocchio made it a perfect subject for one of Colorforms' unique printer sets. The set was produced in two sizes and shared the fabulous cover art and platform art which were arranged differently on each game. The game portfolio for the small size #187 (later reissued as #502) contains the 10" x 6-1/2" cover painting of Pinocchio and Jimminy Cricket (W/C); the original 14" x 14" platform art consisting of a scene flanked by 12 paintings (each 2-1/2" x 1-1/2") of the main characters including Pinocchio, Gepetto, Cleo, Figaro, Stromboli, Lampwick, Monstro and others (W/C w/photos of children pasted up - used for both games, with only the left side used for the small version); ad and cover mech.'s; original lettering master art; mock-up of stamper pad platform w/pad and inkwell; corr. prf.'s; and EX game. The production materials for the large game, #5002, include: cover mech. and proof; the master photo art of a boy playing with the printer for the cover of the large game, and the game itself with a VG box and EX/MT contents.
