New Adventure Comics #19 (September 1937) - CGC Universal Grade VF 8.0, with Cream to Off-White Pages. Flessel cover and art and Siegel and Schuster art/story. At the time of this writing, the CGC Census reports that this copy is tied with one other as the third highest graded copy, placing it in the top four copies reviewed. Here's an exceptional example of a very early, pre-superhero title from National Periodical Publications. New Adventure Comics represents the continuation of the re-titled New Comics, the second title from the company that would become DC. This is only the fifth issue of the run to sport the now-classic Adventure Comics logo design. A year later the "New" was dropped from the masthead, and Adventure Comics would go on to become DC's longest running title, until its eventual cancellation in 1983.
