A wonderful portrayal of the legendary failure of Charles Schulz's Charlie Brown on the baseball diamond. This production art (and all other Peanuts art presented here) was done by Nick Lobianco, who was Schulz's primary artist for licensed products, and probably signed Schulz's name. This production portfolio for the Hit the Ball, Charlie Brown game contains the 7-1/2" x 12" cover art (lam. col. w/hand-inked outline and detail); 21-1/2" x 14-1/2" platform art (lam. col. with hand-painted figures and detail); mockup box and platform w/some hand-coloring and detail (note the subtle differences between the mock-up and the final cover design); 26" x 7" Bklt. art (lam. col. w/hand ink detail); bklt. mech.; cover mech. and the game (missing the bklt.).
