The classic space heroes of the 1930's were both featured stars in Colorforms sets of the 1970's. Buck Rogers was updated to match the images appropriate for his TV show of the time, and Flash Gordon was done in a more traditional representation. Both sets are gems. Contents for Buck Rogers (1979, set #645): original cover background inset art (airbrush on board - Buck's ship flying over an alien planet - 10" x 11") and a separate cover background painting that framed it (airbrush on board - 16" x 23" - futuristic rectangular design that appears behind the photo art images of the main characters); mech. of cover (with a trans. ov. that contains cut-out color images of the characters and text stats, all under a tis. ov. w/ed. not.); two mech.'s of bklt. (one with a trans. ov. containing black and white images and stats, and the second being more complete with a trans. ov. of color images under a tis. ov. w/ed. not.); four pos.'s for the cover; 52 production proofs for the various components of the game, including multiple sets of prog.'s, lam. prf.'s, and finals; and a NM game.
