Beany and Cecil chronicled the exploits of Beany Boy and his pal Cecil the Seasick Sea Serpent aboard the Leakin' Lena commanded by Captain Huffenpuff. Originally produced by animator Bob Clampett as a puppet show from 1949 to 1955, it later became a favorite for baby boomers in its syndicated run as an animated children's show from 1962-1967. The production portfolios for both games, #230 and #2230 contain: #230 - the original 13" x 9" cover painting (W/C w/hand lettering and paste-ups); Character figures done on painted acetate; original figures drawn art w/tis. ovly.; cover pos.; bklt. mech.; group of 7 stat model sheets from Clampett's studio as guides for the main characters; #2230 - original 18" x 13" cover painting  (W/C w/hand lettering and paste-ups); original 18" x 14" platform painting of Leakin' Lena (used for both games); original vinyl art (ink detail w/tis. ovly. figures on painted acetate; pos.'s; cover prog.'s; and the game in VG/EX box with NM interior.
